61 goals for Ryan Vendramin
Sault College’s scoring machine was firing on all cylinders again on the weekend. Local product Ryan Vendramin netted seven goals — giving him 61 on the season — as the Cougars roared to a pair of American Collegiate Hockey Association victories over the West Virginia University Mountaineers.
Playing at home, Sault College cuffed West Virginia by scores of 3-0 and 11-2. Of note, Sault College is a Division 2 team while West Virginia plays at the Division 1 level.
With the weekend sweep, the Cougars now have a very-impressive record of 22-4-2 on the season.
For Vendramin, his scoring totals for this season are simply remarkable — 61 goals, 39 assists, 100 points in just 28 games.
