Bradford to Lakehead
Bradford Rattlers of the Greater Metro Jr. Hockey League have a 10-year history of championship success, not to mention player advancement to various higher levels of play.
One of the more-recent players to move on from Bradford — which as a member of the GMJHL operates outside the guidelines and governance of Hockey Canada — is forward Devin Fullum.
A smaller-sized skater, Fullum is a freshman for his hometown, Thunder Bay-based, Lakehead University Thunderwolves of Canadian Interuniversity Sport.
Fullum has managed to get into two games for Lakehead thus far this season and has already scored his first CIS goal.
After playing in both the Superior International Jr. Hockey League and the Central Canada Hockey League, Fullum took advantage of a GMJHL rule which allows the use of 21-year olds and headed to Bradford for the 2015-2016 season. He scored 34 goals in 37 games for the Rattlers.
Hockey runs in Fullum’s blood.
His dad, Rival Fullum, played parts of five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League and netted 101 goals while suiting up for the Kitchener Rangers, Windsor Spitfires and the erstwhile Cornwall Royals.
