My Dunn birthday buddy
My trusted friend Dr. Kevin Caruso is celebrating a birthday today. Not only is Kevin an April Fools Day baby but he gets birthday wishes and hugs on Easter Sunday.
Many in Sault Ste. Marie know Kevin as a fun guy, good person and good physician, all in one. But he is also a tireless volunteer, helping out as a manager, trainer and team doctor within the Soo Pee Wee Hockey League.
Before going on to McGill University, where he played varsity football, Kevin was a high school standout in his favourite sport at St. Mary’s.
We have shared some pretty cool stories from our respective high school days and I like to bug Kevin that I can tell by the “far out” look in his eyes that he somehow wishes he could have gone to Sir James Dunn with me. (Even though we are 20 years apart in age. Ha!)
At any rate, for Kevin’s birthday, I got him his very own Sir James Dunn Eagles t-shirt and gave it to him up in the sports bar at the Soo Pee Wee Arena last night.
