Rabideau to lead Team NOHA
Team NOHA — comprising minor midget-aged, 2002 birth-year players from Northern Ontario — will be led Matt Rabideau as director of operations for the 2017-2018 season.
Rabideau’s full-time gig is assistant general manager and director of player development for the North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League.
In his role with Team NOHA for this season, Rabideau will be in charge of selecting the players that will be compete for the minor midget squad at events that include the OMHA Eastern AAA Showcase, the OHL Cup and the OHL Gold Cup.
The first step of the evaluation process will occur at a camp in Sudbury on August 11-13. More than 80 players from the NOHA jurisdiction are expected to try out for the team.
