Soo major atom AA champs
Following a recent title tilt triumph at the Northern Ontario Hockey Association Tournament of Champions, the Soo Major Atom AA Jr. Greyhounds will represent the NOHA at the Ontario Hockey Federation play-downs.
The OHF championship event is slated for April 12-14 in Belle River.
To get to the OHF championships, the Soo squad won the NOHA tournament by posting a record of 5-0 that included a 4-1 win over the host Nickel City Sons to take home the title.
Of note, Soo coach Terry Chitaroni and Nickel City bench boss Jason Young were teammates with the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League from 1989 to 1992.
