Jr. Hounds split with Kap

Soo Jr. Greyhounds tasted defeat for the first time this season but still salvaged a weekend split with the visiting Kapuskasing Flyers to remain atop the Great North Midget Hockey League standings with a record of 7-1-0.

Kapuskasing began the two-game set with a 6-4 win on Saturday night before the Jr. Greyhounds rebounded with a 4-1 triumph this morning.

Michael Chaffay paced the Soo score sheet with a pair of goals in the loss while Ethan Esposito tallied once and set up two others in the Jr. Hounds victory.

Gavin Disano was the goalie of record in the Soo win.
