Majors take it to T-Birds
Brennen Martel potted a pair of third period goals to propel the visiting Timmins Majors to a 5-2 win over the Soo Major Midget Thunderbirds in Great North Midget Hockey League action from this afternoon.
The Timmins triumph avenged a 4-1 loss to the Soo in a Friday night game that opened the 2018-2019 Great North season.
Martel also had an assist to go with his two goals and Eric Daigle, Jesse Dupuis and Cameron Dutkiewicz also found range for coach Brandon Perry’s Majors, who head back to Timmins with a split of the two-game set with the Soo.
Jacob Sewell and Nick Niro replied for the Soo.
