New Liskeard snaps skid
An eight-game losing streak that produced but a single point from an overtime setback ended for the New Liskeard Cubs on Friday night at Don Shepherdson Memorial Arena.
The Cubs cuffed the visiting Sudbury Minor Wolves 4-0 to improve their Great North Midget Hockey League record to 6-11-2.
Alex Date had the shutout and Matt Hill tallied a pair of goals as New Liskeard returned to the win column.
Hill, who has a 2004 birth date, now has a team-leading 13 goals for New Liskeard.
