Three home games this weekend will provide ample opportunity for the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves to close in on the idle North Bay Trappers.

With a record of 11-1-0 within the major midget division of the Great North Midget Hockey League, second-place Sudbury trails first-place North Bay by nine points.

But the Nickel Capital Wolves have six games in hand on the pace-setting Trappers, who sport a record of 15-2-1 from 18 outings.

Sudbury, though, can inch closer to North Bay with home games slated for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Nickel Caps will play host to the Soo Greyhounds on Friday and Saturday and to the Kapuskasing Flyers on Sunday.
