Soo midgets need wins

There is no way to sugar coat this. It’s either win two games — beginning tonight — or it’s season over for the Soo Greyhounds of the Great North Midget Hockey League.

The Greyhounds trail their best-of-five, semi-final playoff set with the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves two games to none.

Thus, there is no room for error for the Soo, which plays host to Sudbury tonight at 8:30 p.m. at the Essar Centre in Game 3. A Soo win would force a Game 4 on Sunday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. at John Rhodes Community Centre.

The Nickel Capital Wolves overcame deficits in both games to upend the visiting Greyhounds by 4-2 and 3-2 scores last weekend in Sudbury.
