No. 1 seed North Bay Trappers and no. 2 seed Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves will meet in the Great North Midget Hockey League finals for the second straight season.

North Bay and Sudbury both completed best-of-five, semi-final sweeps on Saturday.

The Trappers trimmed the no. 5 seed Timmins Majors 9-1 while the Nickel Capital Wolves needed double overtime to eliminate the no. 3 seed Kapuskasing Flyers 5-4.

A year ago, Sudbury defeated North Bay to win the Great North championship before the Trappers won the bronze medal by besting the host Nickel Capital Wolves at the Ontario Hockey Federation play downs.
