Trappers take Great North

North Bay Major Trappers are the undisputed rulers of the Great North Midget Hockey League. Playing at home, North Bay capped a perfect season on Saturday.

The Major Trappers ran roughshod over the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves 8-1 to take the best-of-five, playoff championship series in three straight games.

Earlier, North Bay swept the Soo Major Thunderbirds in three straight in the semi-finals.

Combined with a regular season record of 36-0-0, North Bay was simply perfect in Great North action with 42 straight victories over the course of the 2018-2019 campaign.

  1. Special crew of kids…nice to see, hard to play against…congrats trappers, North Bay has it figured out with peewee, bantam and Midget teams just dominating all year and in the playoffs. Lesson to be learned here somewhere.
