Trappers topple Timmins
Regular-season champion North Bay Trappers have taken a 1-0 lead in their second-round, best-of-five, Great North Midget Hockey League playoff series with the Timmins Majors.
Playing at home on Friday, the Trappers toppled Timmins 6-3. Game 2 of the set goes tonight at 7:30 at Memorial Gardens in North Bay before the series shifts to Timmins next weekend.
Ryan Mills and Zach Lefebvre scored two goals apiece to pace North Bay while 2002 birth year rookie forward Kobe Barrette had a goal and an assist for Timmins.
