What you think about “Irish, Monarchs and Hounds”

  1. history of bad blood between Detroit and the Firehawks I am told. Must say that the Firehawks Assistant Coach was a tad out of control last night. What’s up with him chirping the Detroit players? Come on Coach get a grip on your self!

  2. This just received from the Midwest Jr. Hockey League:

The Midwest Jr. Hockey League announced Sunday (today) that league officials are looking into the post-game incident that occurred Saturday night between the Detroit Fighting Irish and Soo Firehawks at the Big Bear Arena in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

The league will handle the matter and take appropriate action based on league rules, policies and procedures

No further comment will be made by the MWJHL.

  3. The Soo Firehawks Coaching Staff are known for chrping Players from the Opposition Teams. The League needs to do something about this … just my opinien.

  4. The caliber of playing in the M.W.J.H.L. is improving , which is obvious to me personaly. So let us hope that the “Gong Show” of Saturday Nite is an isolated inncident.

  5. The “Zoo” Firehawks ! All 3 of there Coaches like to Yap and it suprises me how they get away with this kind of behavior.

  6. I just looked up these Stats for Penalty Minutes.

Detroit have 290 PIM in 11 Games Avg of 26.4 Per Game

Firehawks have 185 PIM in 8 Games Avg of 23. 1 Per Game

  7. Coach’s on both sides should know better than to start pushing and shoving each other. The Big question here is “Who is the Common Denominater” ! ? !? !
