Putting the finishing touches to a rousing regular season with a weekend sweep of the Toledo Cherokee, Flint Jr. Generals are now focused on the upcoming North American 3 Hockey League playoffs.

First-place Flint will begin the NA3HL East Division playoffs on the March 15-16 weekend.

“It’s been a great regular season for us but once the playoffs start all of the teams that make it start even,” said Flint coach Steve Howard.

Through the 48-game regular season, Flint fashioned a record of 42-4-2 for 86 points and an .896 winning percentage.

No less than five Flint players hit the 20-goal mark.

Mark McGee topped all Jr. Generals with 24 goals, followed closely by Conor Durgan with 23, Nick Gnagni and Brett Leppek with 22 apiece and Zach Koonce with 20.

As a team, Flint scored 216 goals in 48 games while allowing only 80.
