Lake State d-man turns pro

Lake Superior State Lakers senior defenseman Peter Spratte has signed a professional contract, joining the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League for the remainder of the 2015-2016 season.

Spratte played in 25 games for the Lakers during the ’15-16 Western Collegiate Hockey Association season, scoring his first career goal and producing two assists for three points. His plus/minus rating of -1 was the second best mark among Laker blue-liners during the 2015-2016 campaign.

In his four-year career at Lake Superior State, Spratte appeared in 53 games.
