Big Bird Bazarin
Off to a sizzling 5-0-0 start to the 2018-2019 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League season, Soo Thunderbirds have added more size up front.
Coach John Parco’s Thunderbirds have obtained 6-foot-5, 210-pound center Matthew Bazarin from the Stouffville Spirit of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League for future considerations.
Bazarin played in 29 games in the OJHL with both Stouffville and the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots during the 2017-2018 season and racked up 129 minutes in penalties while scoring 3 goals, 4 assists, 7 points. He has also played at the junior level in the U.S. Premier Hockey League.
