Campbell piling up points

Rookie David Campbell continued his frantic scoring pace on Friday as the Powassan Voodoos won their third straight game to begin the 2018-2019 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League season.

The 2002 birth year forward scored once and added two assists in an 8-2 Powassan win over the Hearst Lumberjacks.

Campbell, who hails from St. Joseph Island, just outside Sault Ste. Marie, now has 4 goals, 5 assists, 9 points in three outings for Powassan. He has scored three points in all three games.

Campbell was a fourth round pick of the North Bay Battalion at the 2018 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft from the North Bay Minor Midget Trappers of the Great North Midget Hockey League.
