Homegrown product Sebastien Doucet has been piling up the points for the Hearst Lumberjacks through five games of the 2020-2021 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League regular season.

Which is a nice bonus for the Lumberjacks in that the 5-foot-9, 170 pound forward with a 2000 birth date wasn’t exactly a scoring threat during his first two seasons in the NOJHL.

Indeed, in 92 regular season games over the course of the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 campaigns in Hearst, Doucet managed mere totals of six goals, 10 assists, 16 points.

But through five games thus far this season, Doucet is tied for third on the Lumberjack scoring log with two goals, six assists, eight points.

To be sure, the local lad is a big reason why Hearst has a record of 5-0-0 to begin the 2020-2021 regular season.
