Mark these down as a pair of high-end commitments. Espanola Express of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League has signed a dandy duo of 2001 birth-skaters who played for the Sudbury Wolves of the Great North Midget Hockey League last season.

The erstwhile Sudbury minor midget pair consists of forward Jarod Hurley and defenseman James Way.

Hurley was a 15th-round pick of the Niagara IceDogs at the 2017 Ontario Hockey League draft from the Sudbury minor midgets.

Espanola general manager Chad Clarke noted that the Express has had its eyes on Hurley and Way “for quite a while now. They both have continued to impress us.”
