Player movement has been plentiful of late as the Rayside-Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League are tweaking their roster.

Canadians owner-president Adrian Gedye has confirmed a number of transactions to HockeyNewsNorth.com.

With veteran Mackenzie Savard moving up to the Laurentian Voyageurs of Ontario University Athletics, Rayside-Balfour has acquired another 1997 birth-year goalie in the person of Brayden Lachance. Lachance, who is from Sudbury, has prior experience with teams in the Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

The Canadians have also added 1999 birth-year goalie Jean-Marc Brisson, picking him up from the NOJHL’s Hearst Lumberjacks. The addition of both Brisson and Lachance gives Rayside-Balfour three goalies, with 2000 birth-year rookie Matty Mayhew being the other.

Rayside-Balfour has also dealt 1998 birth-year defenseman Andre Frappier to the Espanola Express of the NOJHL and moved 1997 birth year forward Tristan Simm to the Dryden Ice Dogs of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League.
