Winners of seventeen successive skates, the Powassan Voodoos are on top of the overall standings in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League with a record of 19-1-0.

But despite being 19-1-0 and on a remarkable winning streak, powerful Powassan is not exactly free and clear in the East Division of the NOJHL.

In fact, both the Timmins Rock (15-2-2) and Hearst Lumberjacks (16-6-0) are well within range of Powassan, just six points back of the leading Voodoos.

And while Powassan does have two games in hand on Hearst, the Voodoos have played one more match than Timmins.

Meanwhile, the Cochrane Crunch is holding steady at the .500 mark in the East with 22 points from a record of 10-10-2.

And there is a tussle in place for the fifth-and-final playoff spot in the East as the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners and French River Rapids both have 12 points.
