A troika of forwards led by high-scoring Roman Gaudet could bolster the Soo Eagles as they return home for Games 3 and 4 of their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League playoff series with the Blind River Beavers.

Blind River leads the best-of-seven West Division final two games to none by virtue of 2-1 and 3-0 home-ice wins over the Michigan Soo.

The Eagles have been without Gaudet and fellow forwards Brendan Schultz and Landon Hubbard due to lingering injuries but head coach Jim Capy said he is hopeful of the imminent return of the three.

Games 3 and 4 are slated for Pullar Stadium in the Michigan Soo on Wednesday (7:00) and Friday (7:30) nights.

Without Gaudet, the Eagles power play has struggled in the two games against the Beavers, going 0-7 with the man advantage. Gaudet has been a point-per-game player when healthy in the playoffs with 4 goals, 3 assists in 7 outings.

In the hopes of getting ready for this week’s home games, Gaudet is undergoing treatment from Myers Chiropractic Clinic in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
