1997 birth-year goalie Allan Menary will return to the Elliot Lake Wildcats of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League for a second season, general manager Todd Stencill has informed HockeyNewsNorth.com.

Menary, who played for the Barrie Colts midgets before moving up to Elliot Lake and the NOJHL, served as a backup to since-graduated goalie A.J. Smith for the Wildcats during the 2014-2015 season.

As a rookie NOJHLer, the 6-foot, 180-pound Menary posted good numbers in Elliot Lake with a 14-3 record, 2.79 goals against average and .899 save percentage.

“We are excited that Allan is coming back,” Wildcats coach Nathan Hewitt told HockeyNewsNorth.com. “He looked great at the summer showcase in Toronto and we think that’s a preview of what’s expected of him this season.”
