From the Greater Toronto Hockey League to the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League. Reigning NOJHL champion Powassan Voodoos have signed forward Harrison Israels, who played for the major midget Mississauga Senators of the GTHL in 2016-2017.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound skater potted 16 goals, 12 assists, 28 points in 31 regular season games with Mississauga.

“He’s strong in all three zones, he’s consistent and you know what you are going to get shift in shift out with a player like Harrison,” Voodoos head coach Beau Moyer said of Israels.

Israels is looking forward to the move up to Powassan from Mississauga.

“The management and coaching staff have been very welcoming and it is easy to see why Powassan has developed such a winning culture and attitude. I look forward to moving up to Powassan and contributing to the success of the Voodoos in the coming season,” Israels relayed.
