Sault Ste. Marie product Nick Jameus tallied once in regulation time and then scored the only goal of the shootout as the last-place Elliot Lake Wildcats upset the West Division-leading Blind River Beavers 3-2 in Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League action from Wednesday.

The 5-foot-7, 147-pound Jameus, who is a nifty forward, played a big role as Elliot Lake won for only the second time this season in improving its record to 2-13-1.

The regulation goal was the second in the past three games for the 17-year old Jameus, who played parts of the past two seasons with the Soo Jr. Greyhounds of the Great North Midget Hockey League.

Meanwhile, Blind River gets a point from the shootout setback and the Beavers now have a record of 11-4-2 atop the West Division of the NOJHL.
