Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have added an Ontario Hockey League draft pick of the North Bay Battalion to their roster.

The Voodoos have signed 2000 birth-year forward Rhys Brown, who was an eighth-round pick of the Battalion at the 2016 OHL draft from the Barrie Colts minor midgets.

“Rhys is an intelligent two-way winger with impressive speed and the ability to impact the game on both sides of the puck,” said Voodoos director of player development Mike Mackley.

Brown hopes to make the most of his opportunity with the Voodoos.

“I see this as an incredible opportunity to reaching my next goal, of playing with the Battalion,” said the North Bay prospect.
