Powassan a perfect seven up
Powassan Voodoos are within one win of sweeping their second successive Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League playoff series.
The visiting Voodoos blanked the Timmins Rock 6-0 on Tuesday to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven East Division finals.
Game 4 is tonight in Timmins.
The Voodoos had used home ice to take the first two games of the series by 6-2 and 4-0 scores.
Earlier, the regular-season champions from Powassan had ousted the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners in four straight games.
