Rayside-Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have signed right winger Eric Eschweiler away from the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

The 1999 birth year skater played for both Brantford and Caledonia during the 2017-2018 GOJHL season and netted 11 goals, 22 assists, 36 points in 46 games.

Rayside-Balfour scouting direcor Zack Schipper commented on the acquisition of Eschweiler.

“He is a player we have been tracking for a few years and we are excited to be able to sign Eric,” Schipper told Hockey News North. “We expect him to play a significant role for us as a winger who can also play center.”

Eschweiler also has experience with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Jr. Hockey League, having played in 60 games for them during the 2016-2017 season.
