Soaring Soo Eagles sweep
Michigan Soo Eagles pulled off a road trip rarity on the weekend with three successive wins up in rugged northeastern Ontario.
The Eagles swooped to three narrow victories and have now won five straight games to improve their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League record to 17-10-0.
A 5-3 triumph over the Hearst Lumberjacks started the tedious road swing for the Eagles, who then followed up with a 4-3 double overtime win over the Cochrane Crunch and a 3-1 victory over the Timmins Rock.
