Espanola Express of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League has called on forward Parker Morgan and defenseman Jacob Doucette from the Soo Greyhounds of the Great North Midget Hockey League, HockeyNewsNorth.com has confirmed.

The two are slated to be in the Espanola lineup tonight when it plays host to the Elliot Lake Wildcats, Express general manager Chad Clarke told HockeyNewsNorth.com.

Morgan and Doucette have been signed by the Express as affiliate players. The two skated with Espanola at a practice earlier this week and impressed both Clarke and Express head coach Tommy McCarthy.

“They are good players and they both seem like really nice kids,” Clarke relayed to HockeyNewsNorth.com.

In 25 regular season games with the Greyhound major midgets thus far this season, Morgan has 10 goals, 7 assists, 17 points. Doucette has played in 17 regular season matches and has 1 goal, 5 assists, 6 points.

The NOJHL call-up for Morgan and Doucette follows that of Greyhound midget defenseman Caden King, who dressed for the Blind River Beavers as an affiliate player last night.

And last weekend, it was another Greyhound defenseman, Jordan Ritchie, who played two games as an affiliate player for the French River Rapids.
