As play resumes in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League this week following a two-month shut down, the Soo Thunderbirds have added a pair of veteran forwards to their lineup, Hockey News North has confirmed.

They are local product Noah Boman and American import Andrew Malek. Both have 2000 birth dates.

Boman is returning to his hometown club after suiting up for three different teams in the Ontario Jr. Hockey League in 2019-2020. He spent the 2018-2019 season with the Thunderbirds and in 69 NOJHL games, playoffs included, Boman scored 32 goals.

Malek, meanwhile, was in his second NOJHL season with the Blind River Beavers. Malek had two goals, one assist, three points in seven outings for Blind River this season after tallying 16 goals in 45 games for the Beavers in 2019-2020.
