Thunderbirds to Cougars
Mark Tassone is moving on from three successful seasons with the Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League to play for the Sault College Cougars of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.
Hockey News North has confirmed that Tassone, a 1999 birth year forward, plans to forgo two more seasons of junior eligibility to play at Sault College and further his education, effective the 2018-2019 term.
A 5-foot-11, 190 forward of good skill and good character, Tassone played in 164 games for the NOJHL Thunderbirds, regular season and playoffs included.
In total, Tassone netted 52 goals, 63 assists, 115 points with the T-Birds over a three-year period.
