Powassan Voodoos — already in first place in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League — have added on to a team that has won 17 straight games.

The Voodoos have acquired a pair of American-born skaters — forward Austin Ramirez from the Thief River Falls Norskies of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League and defenseman Justin Schebel from the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

Voodoos general manager Chris Dawson also used a hook in Western Canada to acquire goaltender Andrew Suriano from the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Jr. Hockey League.

Separately, the Voodoos have dealt American-born defenceman Jacob Elrod to the Blind River Beavers of the NOJHL and shipped goalie Nicholas Campbell to the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Central Canada Hockey League.
