Already a favourite to contend for the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League title this season, Powassan Voodoos have added 1997 birth-year forward Michael Silveri from the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League.

Known for his physical play, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Silveri returns to the NOJHL and Powassan on assignment from the OHL Wolves.

Silveri, a sixth-round draft pick of the Wolves in 2013 from the North Bay Trappers of the Great North Midget Hockey League, got into eight OHL games with Sudbury in 2014-2015 after being recalled from Powassan.

In 45 games with Powassan in 2014-2015, Silveri netted 14 goals.

What you think about “Wolves send Silveri to Voodoos”

  1. It’s what Michael Silveri did in the playoffs last year that made me believe he would be with the Wolves this year. Silveri was one of the big reasons why Powassan got by Kirkland Lake. This just makes a very good Voodoos team better.

Looking forward to Monday night and the Voodoos 2015-16 Home Opener.
