Second-year Saginaw Spirit winger Nick Porco has already doubled his goal-scoring total from his rookie season in the Ontario Hockey League.
The Sault Ste. Marie product netted his 10th goal of the season tonight as Saginaw upended Michigan rival Flint Firebirds by a 4-2 margin.
Porco’s team-leading 10th goal of the season came in Saginaw’s 20th game of the 2018-2019 campaign and helped improved the Spirit record to 11-7-2.
As a rookie after being Saginaw’s first round pick, fourth overall, at the 2017 OHL priority selections draft, Porco scored 5 goals in 57 regular season games and tallied one more time in four playoff contests.
