Baber sparks the Spirit

Sault Ste. Marie product Camaryn Baber scored the game-winning goal and added a shorthanded assist tonight to aid the Saginaw Spirit to a 6-1 road win over the Sarnia Sting.

Baber was named the game’s second star for his efforts.

The victory gives Saginaw a three games to none lead in its best-of-seven, first-round, Ontario Hockey League, Western Conference playoff series with Sarnia.

A rookie forward with a 2001 birth date, Baber now has one goal, two assists, three points in three playoff games for Saginaw thus far in the 2019 OHL playoffs.

Baber tallied eight goals, 15 assists, 23 points in 48 games for Saginaw during the 2018-2019 regular season. He picked up nine of those points over the final 10 games of the regular season.
