Flint extends GM, coach
The dandy duo of general manager Barclay Branch and head coach Eric Wellwood has received contract extensions from the Flint Firebirds through the 2021-2022 Ontario Hockey League season.
Now in its fifth season of OHL existence, Flint is having its most successful outing in franchise history in having surpassed the 40-win mark for the 2019-2020 campaign.
The 44-year old Branch is in his third full season as the Firebirds GM while this is the first full term as the Flint bench boss for the 30-year old Wellwood.
