It was not the elusive win. But it was their first point of the 2018-2019 Ontario Hockey League season. Flint Firebirds rallied from an early 3-0 deficit tonight only to drop a 6-5 overtime decision to the visiting Sarnia Sting.

Connor Roberts scored twice and added two assists and Luke Cavallin made 38 saves as Flint finally put a point on the board for the first time this season.

And while victory once again eluded the Firebirds — who also trailed by 4-3 and 5-4 scores in addition to the 3-0 deficit — they finally have a point to show for their efforts and a record of 0-12-1 through 13 games of the 2018-2019 campaign.
