Goals by Baber and Porco
Sault Ste. Marie products Camaryn Baber and Nick Porco combined to score the tieing and winning goals as the Saginaw Spirit upended the Flint Firebirds 6-4 in Ontario Hockey League exhibition play from Friday.
With Saginaw trailing 4-3 in the third period, Baber scored to tie the game 4-4. Later in the third, Porco netted the game winner to make the score 5-4 and Saginaw added a late goal that resulted in the 6-4 triumph.
Porco was Saginaw’s first round pick at the 2017 OHL priority selections draft and Baber was snagged two rounds later in the third.
Both are 2001 birth year forwards.
