The hungry Hounds are sniffing the .500 mark. Soo Greyhounds finished a three-game Ontario Hockey League road run today with a 6-3 romp over the Mississauga Steelheads.

With workhorse Croatian custodian Bailey Brkin tending the twine, the Greyhounds upended the Niagara IceDogs 5-1 on Thursday before edging the Erie Otters 2-1 on Friday and then taking the measure of Mississauga today.

Brkin stopped 15 of 16 shots in the win over Niagara, made 28 saves in the victory over Erie and then blocked 28 attempts in the triumph over Mississauga.

The weekend road kill has tilted the Hounds record to 13-15-2 on the season. The Hounds are 6-6-2 at home and now have a 7-9-0 mark on the road.

Individually, Brkin has a record of 7-3-1 with a 3.30 goals against average and .887 save percentage since being acquired by the Soo on Nov. 12 by way of OHL transaction with the Kingston Frontenacs via Western Hockey League waivers.
