Three days after obtaining Stephen Templeton in an Ontario Hockey League trade with the Oshawa Generals, the North Bay Battalion has dealt the veteran defenseman to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

The grandson of late, legendary OHL coach Bert Templeton (Hamilton Fincups, Niagara Falls Flyers, North Bay Centennials, Barrie Colts, Sudbury Wolves) was packaged to Hamilton along with a fifth-round draft pick and a conditional sixth-round selection in exchange for defenseman Jesse Saban and a 10th-round pick.

Both Templeton and Saban have 1997 birth dates.

What you think about “North Bay trades Templeton”

  1. It will be interesting to see how Templeton and Saban play out in their new digs. Statistically speaking, Saban would seem to have a bit of an edge, and we can hope he will contribute significantly to the somewhat sputtering Battalion fortunes. It was interesting to have another Templeton in the Bay, even though we never got to see him dress or play. I guess, in hockey, “dem’s da breaks.” We wish both players much future success.
