Did you really think the Owen Sound Attack was going to retreat from its Ontario Hockey League playoff series with Soo Greyhounds without putting up a fight?

Once down two games to none to the Soo in the second-round, best-of-seven Western Conference set, Owen Sound has rebounded with back-to-back victories to even the series.

As the Greyhounds took Games 1 and 2 on home ice by identical 4-1 scores, the Attack used its rink for 4-1 and 4-2 wins in Games 3 and 4.

So what we have now is a best-of-three series with Game 5 slated for the Soo on Friday night.

The Greyhounds could be without their regular-season scoring leader, overage forward Bobby MacIntyre. MacIntyre was assessed a slew-footing major in Game 4, an infraction that typically results in a suspension.

Elsewhere:

In the other Western Conference series, Erie Otters have taken a 2-1 lead on the defending Memorial Cup champion London Knights…Peterborough Petes upended Kingston Frontenacs on Tuesday to open a 3-0 lead in that series. The Petes are perfect thus far in the playoffs with a record of 7-0…In the other Eastern Conference series, Mississauga Steelheads have a 2-1 lead on the Oshawa Generals.
