Kitchener Rangers have gone out and acquired a veteran goalie — and National Hockey League draft pick — ahead of the 2019-2020 Ontario Hockey League season.

After three full seasons with the Mississauga Steelheads, who took him in the second round of the 2016 OHL priority selections draft, 2000 birth-year goalie Jacob Ingham is off to Kitchener.

The Rangers gave up a second round pick and two thirds to obtain the lanky goalie, who was a sixth-round selection of the Los Angeles Kings at the 2018 NHL draft.

Ingham posted a 27-25-4 record with an .890 save percentage and 3.41 goals against average as the workhorse starter for Mississauga in 2018-2019.
