Seven straight for Steelheads
The hottest team in the Ontario Hockey League is neither of the Western Conference powerhouses, the Erie Otters or Owen Sound Attack. Rather, it is the surging Mississauga Steelheads, winners of seven straight playoff games.
Mississauga, which entered the playoffs as the no. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, has taken a 3-0 series lead on the no. 1 seed Peterborough Petes following a 2-1 double overtime win on Monday.
The Steelheads have not lost since the opening game of the second round when they were upended by the Oshawa Generals. Mississauga then won the next four games to win the series and has taken the first three of the Eastern Conference final with Peterborough.
So far, Mississauga has received its toughest test from the no. 7 seed Ottawa 67’s. Ottawa stole two games right in Mississauga in the first round of the playoffs before the Steelheads came back to win the series 4-2.

Best uni’s in the entire OHL!
I kind of agree .. .. .. Mississauga have nice Uniforms I agree but the Wolves are still my favorite followed by Ottawa then Mississauga.
That team ( Mississauga ) needs to Market themselves way more than they do tho.
But then why are the Oshawa Generals jerseys 29th in the top 30 in the Greatest Uniforms in Sports
Here’s how it played out.
