That’s the Spirit! Saginaw Spirit has moved quickly to sign its two second-round picks from the recent Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft.

Spirit general manager Dave Drinkill has confirmed the commitments of goalie Tristan Lennox and centre Ethan Cardwell to Saginaw, which is being seen through the eyes of many as a rising OHL team.

“Both players are very excited to start their careers in Saginaw and that means a lot to our franchise as we continue to build towards our end goals,” said Drinkill.

Lennox was the first goalie taken at last week’s OHL minor midget lottery.

“Words can’t describe how excited I am right now,” said the newly-signed Spirit puck-stopper. “I just want to get started right away. I am here to win games and take this team to another level.”
