Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League have elevated Darryl Moxam from part time assistant coach to full time associate coach.

Moxam, who hails from Walden, just outside Sudbury, takes over as the Wolves associate coach from Jordan Smith, who recently took a similar position with the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds.

The 42-year old Moxam played for four years in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes, Oshawa Generals and the Wolves before completing a Business degree at Acadia University while playing for the Axemen.

Coaching is not new to Moxam, who has extensive prior experience with the erstwhile Sudbury Jr. Wolves of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League and Laurentian Voyageurs of Ontario University Athletics.

Moxam is an educator at Laurentian in the sports administration program.
