Best of the Fighting Irish

One of the youngest players in the Midwest Division of the U.S. Premier Hockey League is leading the Detroit Fighting Irish in scoring preparatory to the 2016 portion of the season.

Forward Dakota Potter, who has a 1998 birth date and just turned 17 in late November, tops the Fighting Irish scoring chart with 21 goals, 17 assists, 38 points in 34 games.

Coach Dan Vasquez and the Fighting Irish took a record of 15-20-1 into the holiday break.

Trailing Potter among the top Fighting Irish points producers are Nolan Jakrzewski with 17-16-33 totals followed by Michael Perry at 6-17-23, Chase Tackett at 13-8-21, Tyler Blackburn at 11-10-21, Christian Ramage at 11-8-19, Eric Long at 8-10-18 and Tristan Cruz at 5-9-14.
