Co-captain of the Fighting Irish
Having opted to defer a commitment to play at Lindenwood University until the 2016-2017 season, 1996 birth-year forward Nolan Jakzrewski will serve as a co-captain for the Detroit Fighting Irish of the U.S. Premier Hockey League this 2015-2016 campaign.
Jakzrewski is in his third season as a regular with the Fighting Irish and has earned praise from coach-general manager Dan Vasquez for what he brings to the team.
“Jak is a locker-room favourite among the coaching staff, ownership and the players, mainly due to his commitment and his love for the game,” noted Vasquez.
“His willingness to mentor newcomers changes the entire complexity of our lineup and our locker room,” Vasquez added.
1995 birth-year forward Christian Ramage is the other co-captain of the Fighting Irish.
