Tricks, treats and the Detroit Fighting Irish and Motor City Hawks — not once, not twice, but three times.

Nearby, arch-rivals within the Midwest Division of the U.S. Premier Hockey League, the Fighting Irish and Hawks will face off on Friday night, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Friday’s game is slated as an 8:30 p.m. start at McCann Arena. Then on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m., the two teams will meet again at Brownstown Sports Centre.

The Fighting Irish enters the three-game set with a record of 8-5. The Hawks are further down with a mark of 2-7-1.

Veteran forward Nolan Jakrzewski leads the Fighting Irish in scoring with 7 goals, 11 assists, 18 points, just ahead of Dakota Potter and his 11-4-15 numbers.

Potter, along with Tristan Cruz, who has 2 goals, 6 assists, 8 points to date, represent a faction of the younger players who populate the Fighting Irish roster.

Trevor Pode and Andrew Baxter are high-scoring players of note for Motor City. Both players have turned on the red light 10 times thus far this season.
